This blog is adapted from the transcript of our Should I Keep My Eyes Open During Ketamine Therapy? video
One of the questions that we get asked about ketamine therapy is, "Should I keep my eyes closed or should I keep them open?" At our clinic, we recommend that every patient has a set of eye shades to assist in keeping their eyes closed.
The reason behind this is that in a lot of our lives, we're focused externally. We’re so busy checking with others for validations and seeking outside answers to our deep questions. Frankly, however, we don't spend enough time looking within.
Therefore, during the ketamine treatment experience, we encourage our patients to focus within. The experience they are having is actually with themselves. When we journey inward that's where we can find our internal self-healing. It is in the exploration within, discovering the forgotten or uncovering the suppressed that our transformation can truly occur.
